Practice – Eat – Learn

This Saturday’s Dryland is a bit different. Check out the Next Practice page for details.

Following our regular practice come out to learn all about dehydration and cross-country skiing.

Lunch with Two Guest Speakers at Tulip Valley Restaurant: Join us for a lunch time presentation on “Dehydration During XC Skiing and Its Effects on Performance” delivered by Rob Meade, doctoral student, and Dr. Sean Notley, Postdoctoral Fellow, with the Human and Environmental Physiology Research Unit at the University of Ottawa. This presentation will cover topics such as exercise induced dehydration, the effects of dehydration on endurance exercise performance and dehydration during XC skiing.

The cost of the presentation will be covered by XCCM, so all you have to do is order coffee or lunch and join us for an interesting presentation and discussion afterwards! The talk is free though lunch will be at your own expense.

The location is at Tulip Valley Restaurant. Starting time will be after the practice, lunch first, then guest speakers at 1pm.

** Open to ALL XCCM MEMBERS. You don’t have to train on Saturday for this event.

** Note: we have decided to cancel the rest of Fall Camp for the weekend.
